DIAPER BANK OF THE OZARKS
Disposable Diapers cost $1,600-2,500 over two years
Cloth Diapers cost $200-300 for the first baby and only the cost of laundering for any subsequent children
Cloth Diapers have become an option for many mothers over the recent years. Our Goal at the Diaper Bank of the Ozarks is two-fold. We will provide education and support to assist all mothers interested in Cloth Diapering and we will assist those who do not have the immediate funds necessary to purchase a start up kit. So whether you are looking for a financially responsible alternative, you wish to help save the environment or you just desire to have a healthy and happy baby, we are there for you!
Some of the Questions you might have.....
What about the smell of wet diapers in my house?
Will they leak?
How can I afford to buy the start up kit?
Will my childcare accept cloth diapers?
How do I launder these supplies?
Cloth Diaper suppliers offer so many products and we try to make the choices few but efficient. We offer diaper covers with either snaps or velcro closures and prefolds and/or flats that are both absorbent and easily laundered for a family that may not have the use of a washing machine. We will provide education to you as an individual and also for agencies who distribute diapers to the community.
We are very interested in educating and assisting agencies/churches and individuals who wish to open a Cloth Diaper pantry/bank, become a Cloth Diaper Educator or a mentor for new moms. Please contact us for more information.
To maintain supplies in our Bank we rely on the community for donations, both monetary and in-kind. We are also seeking grants and encouraging Cloth Diaper Drives.
